My involvement with committees began with the Advertising committee. There is no better way to make a difference than to be a part of the process. Since 2000, I have served on the Advertising, Education/Seminar Planning, Program & Entertainment, Communications & Advertising, Political Action, Municipal Relations and Computer Committees. Currently I am on the Professional Standards/Discipline Committee, and Finance Committees.
The experiences gained by being involved have been both rewarding and enriching. I have had the benefit of working with other REALTORS® and Board Staff at all times sharing points of view. The networking has been a huge boost to my development.
I learned quickly that you can sit on the sidelines and complain about what is going on or you can get involved and make a contribution to the process. As a result of the efforts of the Volunteers and Board Staff, the Georgian Triangle Real Estate Board has gained a reputation in the industry as a forward thinking and progressive Board.
