Rod Dow, GRI

Rod Dow moved to the desert in 1983 from Eugene, Oregon where he was the owner of a building supply company and a grocery store for more than 22 years. Bringing a diverse history of business management and marketing to the valley, he is one of the most experienced realtors in the Palm Springs area. His impressive background includes service in the United States Air Force including graduation from the School of Electronics, Air Cargo Specialist, Flight Engineer School and the NCO Academy. He served in Desert Shield and is a veteran of Desert Storm where he served as a crewmember on a C-141 Starlifter aircraft. He retired in 1998 after 24 years of combined service. Rod began in the real estate industry in California as a licensed salesperson with Walker & Lee/Great Western Real Estate in 1984 and became a branch manager in 1986. He was responsible for developing an office with over 30 plus agents and in 1988 he completed the state's requirements to become a broker. Rod worked as an independent broker and manager for himself and Shephard Sands Better Homes & Gardens from 1989 to 1993 and then served as the Executive Officer at the Palm Springs Board of Realtors from 1993 until 1995. He also spent a few years as a Mortgage Lender. He is the broker for Rod Dow, Realtor, and was the Corporate Real Estate Officer for Smoke Tree Ranch for more than six years before opening an office in Palm Desert for ResortQuest International from 2000 until 2005. In addition to selling real estate, he has been involved in youth sports, local charity golf tournaments, the Palm Springs and California Desert Associations of Realtors. He is currently a member of the American Legion, B.P.O.E. (Elks Lodge), Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association, Air Force Association and was the Civil Air Patrol USAF Liaison. With a long and impressive track record in the industry, Rod offers more than 40 years of experience in sales and marketing and has worked with developers throughout the valley selling lots, land, new home developments, as well as resales. He is a multi-million dollar producer and has sold hundreds of properties throughout the Coachella Valley...
