Randy Freed has sold real estate since graduating from college and owned and managed one of the largest real estate companies in the Santa Ynez Valley, in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. In 1993, Randy and his family moved to Santa Barbara where Randy expanded his business to service his Santa Barbara clients. Now, Randy offers his expertise from Carpinteria to Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley; from large ranches and estates to neighborhood homes.
Randy graduated with a Biological Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Davis. Prior to his graduation, Freed received his real estate license. In 1979, he secured his broker’s license, making him at the time one of the youngest brokers in Santa Barbara County. In 1981, Freed helped to establish the Santa Ynez Valley Jaycees and was the first President of the organization. Randy was a member of the Santa Ynez Valley General Plan Advisory Committee from 1981 until 1989. He served as chairman of this committee for seven years.
In 1989, he served as President of the Santa Ynez Valley Board of Realtors. In 1990, Randy received his highest honor to date, being selected as the “Realtor of the Year” for the Santa Ynez Valley Board of Realtors. He has also served as President of the S. Y. Chamber of Commerce. In 1996, Randy also attained the Certified Residential Specialist designation. A prestigious accomplishment, that only 5% of all licensed Realtors nationwide have achieved.
Today, Randy is a Realtor and a Broker-Associate with Village Properties of Montecito, Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley. Village Properties is the largest independent real estate company in Santa Barbara County. Offering a array of marketing tools that includes: Village Properties Home Showcase, a one hour TV real estate program that airs 16 times per week on 2 cable channels, TV commercials featuring Village Properties associates, radio commercials, Santa Barbara Newspress, Casa Classic Homes, Santa Ynez Valley News, Homes and Land Magazine and many internet provides.
Randy and his wife, Donna, have three daughters - Jamie, Danielle, and Abbey. His hobbies include karate, magic, chess, tennis, softball, skiing, and spending time with his family.
