I have been a resident of Colorado Springs for over 20 years. I moved here initially in 1982, when my husband was the commander of the 4th ID band at Fort Carson. We spent three years in Germany and 3 years at Fort Monmouth, NJ, before retiring to the Springs in 1992. There was never a doubt where we would end our military career. The hiking, biking, changing climate, wonderful people, and career opportunities brought us back.
