Lake Blue Ridge is known for its beautiful blue waters popular for fishing, boating and swimming. Lake front property is more expensive because the Tennessee Valley Authority owns most of the land around the lake. Also, the many rivers of the region, running clear and clean, offer whitewater rafting, tubing, fishing and pure enjoyment for the river enthusiast.
Fannin County has a superb school system known for its academics, dedicated high school band and sports programs. Also, Fannin Regional Hospital and the many area clinics offer a wide range of state of the art medical services.
Blue Ridge and the surrounding community buzz with activity ~ Fairs, car shows, craft displays, harvest sales, musical gatherings, art festivals, the Blue Ridge Community Theatre and Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. This area is also rich with antique shops and restaurants open all year round.
