I grew up in Ohio, one of three sons; dad taught school & coached, mom managed the household & made sure we behaved and had what was needed. After serving four years in the US Navy I went to school in Pocatello, Idaho studying technical electronics and graduated #1 in my class. We settled in Salt Lake City and raised three sons, who are all now married and have given us nine grandchildren.
For over 30 years I held various management positions in the electronic equipment development & manufacturing field in Salt Lake City. I learned how to listen to, and deal with all kinds of people from basic laborers, to engineers, and business executives. All the positions I held involved planning, co-ordination, customer service, and attention to details.
On retiring from electronics, we began developing property acquired in the Twin Falls Idaho area during my working years. So far we have developed 72 building lots on 22 A of the 175 we own. The transition into real estate just seemed natural, and after getting my Realtors license we decided to acquire an EXIT REALTY franchise in Twin Falls; we have expanded Exit Realty Concepts to over 20 active agents.
I know that while the actual physical product in a real estate transaction may be a house or most any type of property, “the business of real estate is really all about customer service”. I contend we are providing customer guidance & assistance for a fee to buyers & sellers in their buying, selling, exchanging, renting, refinancing, etc.. Knowing what the client wants and expects is critical to helping them.
Every company is unique because of the individuals involved and their interaction with each other. Personally, challenges motivate me; I love it when someone tells me I can’t do something, just so I can prove them wrong. In our franchise we have developed a knack for getting along with everyone, but still attending to business. We encourage politeness and promptness, value our integrity, and will protect it at any cost. Our goal is to build a sophisticated real estate franchise that is truly well respected throughout the Magic Valley area around Twin Falls.
