Jim Dixon

Jim lived in Winter Haven Florida his first 26 years and graduated from Florida State University. Jim and his wife Pat moved to Michigan and lived in Troy for 25 years where Jim was the owner of a Injection Molding Company, which supplied parts to the automotive and appliance industries.

Beginning another step in their life, Jim and Pat moved to the Elk Rapids area in 1987 and will be the first to say it was the best decision they ever made. The natural beauty of this area and Jim’s love of the outdoors makes for a great lifestyle. Jim is an active hunter , enjoying his hunt club buddies and the pristine outdoors. Boating on Elk and Torch Lakes with family and friends, playing a little golf are all relaxing pastimes. You will see him around town with his dog Foster, an Australian Shepherd who is spoiled rotten!

On a serious side Jim gives back to the community being active in Habitat For Humanity, is a member of the Presbyterian Church , serving as an Elder and Deacon, and on the Homeless Shelter Mission Committee again this year.

Jim enjoys working for his daughter Lesley who is the broker of 45th Parallel Realty Premier and working on projects with her husband and being able to see his granddaughters every day. His other daughter Karen lives in Oregon and is now in the mortgage business so, real estate interest seem to run in the family, as his wife Pat also is his Licensed Real Estate Assistant.
