You're probably wondering who is Ronald Gorman, St. Louis Realtor? Obviously, I am not a household name or a well known personality in St. Louis.
I'm not trying to be funny, but it seems like every website for a real estate agent has a section devoted to telling the visitor about "who the agent." So, here is "me."
As you can tell by my picture, I am not the youngest agent in town. But, on the other hand, looks can be very deceiving. While I may be classified as a "senior citizen," I don´t know what it means to be "old." While most men my age have retired, my retirement is going to be a long time from now. I just enjoy being in the business world and am very blessed being able to wear the badge of a realtor.
Historically, I grew up in University City, Misssouri. Yes, like the typical St. Louis native, my high school was University City Sr. High. Upon graduating, I went on to get my BSBA from Washington University when tuitions were $325 per semester. That is really hard to believe these days.
After spending 6 months in the Army, I started my business life at Famous Barr where I spent the next 23 years. During that period of time, I served in many different capacities including buying, store management, and merchandising three different divisions.
After 23 years with Famous, I made a major career change and went into the deep, discount drug store business with a friend. During the next 10 years, we became a key player in the market place by opening up 4 stores. Unfortunately, we had to close our business when banks decided that they no longer wanted to be in the loan business.
My son and I decided to purchase three shoe repair and alteration shops which was a franchise. That business also did not work to my benefit.
Several years ago I was at the point in my life when it became necessary to decide what I wanted to do with my life from a career standpoint. Realizing how much I enjoyed working with people on a one-to-one basis and after talking to a neighbor who just happened to be a real estate broker who convinced me that I would be an excellent real estate agent. She felt that my ability to instill confidence in my relationship with others was a perfect attribute for an agent.
I have found deep satisfaction in being able to provide a very high level of service to my clients. Another key part is that it has allowed me to spend more time with my family which includes my supportive wife, my three sons, and my beautiful young granddaughter. Also, I now have the ability to adjust my schedule to be able to work out at the YMCA five days a week.
I want to make certain that you understand my responsibility to my client . It is simply stated in my pledge to you:
My promise is:
To respond to your inquiries within 24 hours.
To aid in focusing your issues so that the information provided to you meets your specific needs.
To provide you with the information in a manner that is not biased with my personal viewpoint but in a manner that allows for intelligent, decision-making.
To always be honest and straight forward in my dealings so that there is never a question about factual information being presented.
To be punctual and thorough in all transactions.
To respect and treat you as though you are my only client.
Enough about me.
