Personal Information

I was raised in the Westerleigh and Willowbrook neighborhoods on Staten Island. Some folks called this area Meiers Corner. I attended Saint Rita's Elementary School and the Catholic nuns trained us to carefully attend to detail and communicate clearly.

I am the fourth of five siblings. My father Michael J. Lenza, Sr. (Rest in peace) was a customs home builder on Staten Island. Me and my three brothers were his 'crew' so my Dad's cheapest pool of labor slept under the same roof. I attended Susan E. Wagner High School, walking two miles uphill both ways. I graduated in 1980. I married my high school sweetheart. We have three children. I enjoy physical fitness, reading, writing and motorcycling. I am an active volunteer in the Colts Neck school district, the Colts Neck Lions Club (http://home.att.net/~cnlions/) and other charitable causes, including childrens' disorders and anxiety and depression. I received the 2004 Humantarian of the Year Award from the Freedon From Fear organization on Staten Island, New York. Relevant Experience

I earned a B.A. English from Saint Peter's College, a Masters in English from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University. I spent 14 years on Wall Street as the Chief Operating Officer of the Troster Singer NASDAQ Market-making division of Spear, Leeds and Kellogg (SLK). I left SLK as a Managing Director/Partner in 1999. I have 20 years of relevant business experience.

I use my negotiating and analytical skills everyday as Broker/Owner of my company. I am also a professional real estate investor in both the commercial and residential sectors. I have the Realtor accreditations of Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). This year I earned my N.J. Real Estate Instructor license; there are fewer than 400 Realtors state-wide with this license.
