With a B.A. in Speech and Theatre from Brooklyn College, Leonard was also trained in culinary arts by renowned Chef Annemarie Huste, and was an executive chef for the New York Times Magazine Group and the Phillip Morris Company. He has been a cooking instructor, a gourmet shop manager and culinary consultant for Abraham & Straus department stores. He continues to be involved with theatre as a founding member of Montclair’s professional theatre company, 12 Miles West. As the owner and manager of his own packaging company for over 15 years, he developed key financial management skills as well as a strong customer service orientation.
