David Sobotta

My experience in computer and Internet businesses has helped me get a fast start in the real estate world. I worked for Apple Computer for nearly twenty years. Before that I owned and ran a purebred Red and Black Angus cattle breeding operation near Fredericton, NB. Before taking on 200 head of cattle, I spent a few years on the Nova Scotia coast remodelling my first real estate purchase, a farm house with hand hewn beams on 140 acres of spectacular coastal land. I purchased that home for $6,000 and later sold it for a nice profit. I grew up near Mount Airy, NC and went to McCallie, a military school in Chattanooga, Tennessee for my high school years. I received by Bachelor's degree from Harvard in 1971 after studying colonial American history for four years. I have been visiting the Emerald Isle area for over 50 years. Being able to live and work here on the North Carolina coast is a dream come true for me. I spend my non-working time fishing, boating, writing, taking pictures, and enjoying my family.
