When my Dad found out my family was moving to Havelock/Cherry Point in 1979, he made the statement that Havelock was just a "small fishing village". I was very surprised to find out that there was a Belk department store and a McDonalds. Unfortunately, the Belk store closed within the first year of our move, but now we have two McDonalds and a Walmart to be completed in 2008. In the early 90's, I had the opportunity to move from Havelock, but by then I was hooked on the small town atmosphere and knew that Havelock was the place I wanted to raise my two children. Both of my boys attended the Havelock school system from elementary school through high school, and I must also mention that I have two adorable and much loved grandchildren that are now enrolled in elementary school in Havelock. But, to me, the best part of living in Havelock is being able to help the relocating military families with their housing needs. It makes me proud to be an American!!

Purchasing a home is a very exciting time for buyers and it gives me a trememdous amount of satisfaction in helping the first time home buyers and the relocting military family find that perfect home. Being a REALTOR means more to me than selling homes. It's about people, families, and their hopes and dreams. It's about a relationship based on trust, knowledge and expertise.
