Realizing the American Dream

I was born and raised originally in Jamaica. My family & I left Jamaica for New Jersey Spring 1990. That summer we left for North Carolina. As a young man, I quickly understood the meaning of the American Dream and its possibilities. I graduated from N.C. State with a Computer Engineering degree and quickly joined IBM. I had reservations about joining the technology sector because I had a stronger interest for Real Estate Business. My passion for Real Estate altered my decision to continue as an IT Professional. I later dumped the Technology industry to pursue my real estate career. Nervous and without any sales, negotiating, or contracting background, I was sure to fail. However, with persistence, a positive attitude, excellent customer service, and a willingness to succeed, I overcame all those fears to winning my first December 2004 Agent of the Month most “Total Contracted Units,” “Total Closed Units,” and “2004 Rookie of the Year,”
