BACKGROUND
I look forward to sharing forty years of real estate investment experience with buyers and sellers of real estate in the Wallowa County. My background includes investments and sales in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
Since 1963 with the conversion of a primary residence to rental and my relocation to Alaska, I have been involved in real estate investments. Properties include single family homes, condominiums, multi-family homes, commercial property and vacant land. Transactions include sources from real estate brokerage, government foreclosure, guardianship sales and owner brokered sales.
In 1983 after following the construction support trades in management positions from Anchorage, Prudhoe Bay pipeline to Valdez, Kenai Peninsula and a remote logging camp in Tyonek, Alaska, I returned to the Puget Sound area of Northwest Washington. By 1996 Seattle had become too confining with its traffic and endless development. My wife, Linda, and I relocated to Port Orchard, WA. Although a long commute by ferry was required for my then current employment and property management responsibilities, Port Orchard provided less traffic congestion and more open space.
After retiring from an accounting position with a Seattle construction firm in 2000, I entered the field that had held my interest for almost forty years by obtaining my Washington Real Estate License and associating with a local brokerage as real estate agent.
WALLOWA COUNTY
The reasons for leaving Port Orchard and moving to Wallowa County were three-fold: unsurpassed beauty with it’s location at the base of the Wallowa Mountains, great people who love their county and actively participate in maintaining and promoting it and the proximity to many recreational opportunities. In 2003 after several family gatherings in Enterprise (Linda has many relatives here), we purchased our first Enterprise home and I pursued and obtained my Oregon Brokers license. A permanent move to Enterprise was accomplished in 2006, where we have been sincerely welcomed by everyone we meet. I feel very blessed to be a part of this community.
If you are new to the area, please let me offer a warm and hearty welcome to you from one of the friendliest towns in the U.S. If you are leaving let me thank you for your contribution to the town and the gracious welcome you have offered newcomers.
Whether buying, selling, trading or investing I look forward to providing honest and dedicated assistance with your real estate transaction.
