Mary and her family have lived in the Lehigh Valley for more than 40 years, in 9 different homes. In each, Mary and her husband of over 47 years, Bob, have updated the properties to meet their lifestyle at the time – from restoring 3 Pennsylvania stone farmhouses and creating a mini- estate subdivision; updating a circa 1970’s Williamsburg cape to an open, light floor plan; to their most recent project, designing and building a home in Harris York, a gated community of homes with all exterior maintenance provided for. The experience gained in renovating properties often enables Mary to help buyers and sellers visualize the “possibilities” in homes.
After leaving a career as a full-time mother and “professional volunteer,” Mary turned her energy and talents to real estate. Mary’s 35+ years of involvement with organizations, businesses and cultural affairs in the Lehigh Valley has enabled her to professionally assist in the successful relocation of hundreds of families from the U.S. and abroad. Mary is known for her dedication, professionalism, and low-key approach, and has had particular success in marketing the Lehigh Valley to potential top-level executives and their families being recruited by area corporations.
Buyer agents on the “Gedney Team” include Stuart Dubbs, a licensed Realtor® with an ABR designation and is e-PRO certified and Patti Davidson, a licensed Realtor®. They work primarily with Buyers. Stuart and Patti both relocated to the Lehigh Valley and bring a real understanding of the needs of relocating families. Mary’s support team also includes a full-time licensed assistant/marketing coordinator, Christina Conrad, e-PRO certified, who uses the latest in computer technology to service our clients.
Mary and Bob’s daughter Beth is a licensed Realtor® with RE/MAX of the Valley. Beth, husband Brad and their 3 children, Kate, Meg and Liz have lived in one of the Pennsylvania stone farmhouses restored by her parents and recently purchased the 70’s Williamsburg cape that was her parents’ project in 2000. Their son , Jim, also a licensed Realtor® with RE/MAX of the Valley, his wife Gwyn and their son Jack currently live in Emmaus.
