Larry and his wife Mary Lynn moved to the Berkeley Springs area in 1975. After the birth of their son Chris in 1979, Larry obtained his West Virginia General Contractor's License, formed Twin Mountain Construction, designed and built custom homes and two developments in the Eastern Panhandle area of West Virginia. In 1992 he obtained his West Virginia Real Estate Broker's License, and formed Mountain Home Real Estate. Between his Construction and Real Estate professions, he has been helping local and relocated families in the West Virginia mountain area with their real estate needs for over 25 years.

He is currently a member of the Eastern Panhandle Home Builders Association, the Home Builders Association of WV, and the National Association of Home Builders. He holds a WV General Contractor's License and Twin Mountain Construction is a U.S. Dept of Energy registered Energy Star New Homes Builder for WV. Along with a WV Real Estate Broker's License, Larry also holds a Virginia Real Estate Broker's License.

One of the exciting developments emerging from the construction and real estate industries is the re-awakening use of solar, wind, and other forms of renewable energy. In October of 2005, Larry helped the owners of Mountain View Builders (see Partners links) move the University of Massachusetts (Dartmouth) Solar Decathlon house and electric car to its new location near Berkeley Springs, WV. He is presently producing the design and working drawings for its reconstruction. As a member of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), he attended the Solar 2006 Renewable Energy Conference in Denver, Colorado, last July. There he studied many net zero and other energy saving designs and as a result has several of his own designs already under construction, and has many more ready to come off the drawing board and begin the construction process.
