I've lived and worked in the Dane County area for over 34 years, as a full-time REALTOR® for more than 14 of those, and have been a Madison homeowner since 1989, so my knowledge of the area and its housing market is extensive. Previously, after earning a BS in Biochemistry, MS in Forestry, and "all but dissertation" PhD in Land Resources (through the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies) at the UW-Madison, I taught life science subjects at both the high school and university levels, and worked in various capacities for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). I was also the staff Ecologist for the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo during the mid 80's, where I helped organize and produce an International Crane Workshop held in Qui Qui Har, Heilongjiang, China in 1987.

When not helping families and individuals find or sell their home, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I especially like kayaking, both whitewater and Great Lakes touring. I'm also actively involved as a volunteer with my church, First Unitarian Society, and as an advisor/mentor to teen-age youth. Until stepping down in 2006, I served for six years on the Board of Directors for the Madison Area Community Land Trust (MACLT), an organization dedicated to permanently-affordable housing, and the developer of the natioanlly renowned Troy Gardens Community of Madison's northeast side. I've also been a frequent volunteer (and sponsor, along with First Weber) at the annual Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" to support Breast Cancer research.

I am a strong supporter of Wisconsin Public Radio and have underwritten such programs as Morning Edition, Prairie Home Companion, and All Things Considered. Among my favorite aspects of the Madison area are the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Madison Repertory Theater and American Players Theater (in Spring Green), the University of Wisconsin Arboretum, excellent city parks, and the lakes. I believe in this community, its people, and its future. I appreciate the opportunity to earn your trust and am determined to help you achieve your individual housing dreams.
