Doug was born in Powell River and grew up in Nanaimo, British Columbia and received his associate in commerce at Malaspina College in Nanaimo in 1983. His family has been residing in Nanaimo since 1907. He enjoys golfing, fishing and skiing. As a former hotelier, he knows what service is all about. Delivering five Diamond service is his philosophy.

Doug started out working in hotels in BC including Duncan and Campbell River. then started with Hyatt Hotels in Vancouver. He was with Hyatt for 13 years opening and renovating properties in Vancouver, Hawaii and California. He also worked in the Caribbean renovating a hotel in Grenada. His most recent project was opening the new convention centre in Abbotsford.

In his career he has served heads of state, royalty, screen legends, and rock stars alike. Great service and hard work are second nature to Doug.

His father is one of the founders of RE/MAX of Nanaimo. As a realtor Doug is just as comfortable selling a luxury home as he is competing in a multiple offer bid for a $150,000 home. In any business if you work hard for your clients and supply high levels of service they will keep coming back and refer their friends and family. Real estate is a service related business and Doug will deliver!
