Lou Piriano

I was born in Brooklyn N.Y. to a US father and Canadian mother. I have lived and worked in Hamilton since 1956 and enjoy dual Canadian and US citizenship. Growing up as with many Canadian children, hockey dominated my spare time.
I attended high school in Hamilton and then post secondary education at the University of Guelph where I studied and played varsity hockey.
In 1973 , almost right out of university, I began my carerr in real estate.
Married with 5 grown children our focus now is on raising our two disabled dobermans (Mojo and Hopsing) who we adopted 2007. Both were born without a front left leg and both get around just fine !

I have been a continuously licensed full time Realtor now in my 37th year.
First licesned in 1973 as a real estate sales representative I also obtained an insurance license. I quickly realized that insurance was of minimal interest and so dropped it to condentrate on real estate brokerage. In less than 2 short years I obtained my brokers license at only 23 years of age and opened my own brokerage in 1975. From 1978 to 1981 I owned and operated my own Century 21 real estate franchise. That was a great learning experience but I soon realized that management was not where I wanted to be. My passion was and is the one on one contact of working with buyers and sellers , and so I have done just that.
In 1993 I also began arranging mortgages. It seemed a natural fit. Buyers all needed a mortgage and who better to assist them than the one who found their new home. As a Realtor and Mortgage Broker I provide true one stop shopping. To that end in 2008 I have joined the largest franchised mortgage brokerage, Mortgage Centre Canada which gets my real estate clients access to the best mortgage products at low rates. On the real estate brokerage side, I still own and operate my own firm. My wife Evelyn also holds a Real Estate Brokers licence and can "backstop" me if need be.
We are both members in good standing with the Canadian, Ontario and Hamilton-Burlington Real Estate Associations.
