My name is Grover Cornett. I am a Christian who strives to put God first in my life everyday. Everything else seems to fall into place with Him out front. I am a member and regular attender at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. I am also an ordained deacon. I have been happily married for 32 years. I have 2 grown children and identical twin granddaughters.
I graduated from Troy State University with a BS Degree in Secondary Education. During my 32 years in banking I served in the following positions: Collector, Loan Officer, Assistant Branch Manager, Operations Officer, Branch Manager, and Vice President/Senior Loan Officer. I completed the requirements for Basic, Standard, General, and Advanced Certificates from the American Institute of Banking. I also completed numerous training classes in Consumer Loans, Commercial Loans, Real Estate Loans, and Appraising/Evaluating Residential Property.
I am a Past President of the Montgomery Chapter of Bank Administration Institute, Past President of Montgomery East Kiwanis Club, and Tallassee Kiwanis Club. I also served as Lt Governor of the East Alabama District of Kiwanis.
Over the past five years, I have bought seven foreclosed properties and performed extensive repairs and restorations to each of those homes. I listed the restored homes with a realtor, as I did not have my Real Estate License at that time. I worked closely with the realtor to get these homes sold.
I believe that my extensive knowledge of the banking industry and my experience buying and selling foreclosed properties will be a great asset to you throughout the process of assisting you in buying or selling your home. I am the best person to call if you have questions about this process. Let me answer your questions and guide you through it.
I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, and therefore bound by a strict code of ethics. My commitment to all of my clients will be honesty, integrity, and quality customer service.
