My early education through 4 years of college was in the state of Utah. I have spent 25 years in southern California where I earned my Masters Degree in Business Education and a law degree from the University of LaVerne. Although my career started out with teaching business subjects to high school students in an urban LA school and similar subjects at Pasadena Community College, in the years that followed I took some very different paths. I earned my CPA certificate and designations as an Enrolled Agent and a Microcomputer Consultant. During the 80's I owned a computer software company. I developed a joint venture with a large European OEM. Those were the days before desktop computers were the norm. I managed to travel to Europe several times and also to Australia. Our family moved to Sedona Arizona in 1988. In Sedona, I became involved in the timeshare industry, earning a designation as a Registered Resort Professional and obtaining a Hospitality Diploma. In positions as CFO, Director of Accounting, Executive Search, and eventually earning my real estate sales license, I have seen most sides of that industry. I have been a licensed realtor since 2000 and been in residential and commercial real estate since 2001.
