Chrissy Furness

My name is Christine Furness, however everyone calls me Chrissy. I have many fond memories of growing up and taking family ski vacations to Mammoth and the Sierra’s. When I met my husband, Daniel, he would tell me stories of his memories of the Sierra’s. He grew up camping and vacationing here with his grandparents in their Beaver motor home.
My husband and I met through a mutual friend and it turned out that we worked for the same company in Calabasas, Ca! I was a personal assistant to the executives and he worked in the IT department. Our first two vacations together were actually to Mammoth to visit and camp with my Mom who had moved here in 1997. We met, married and had our first child all within one year. When I became pregnant with our second child we re-evaluated our busy lifestyles and decided to say good-bye to the two-hour-a-day commute and raise our family in, where else? Mammoth…where we both had our fondest childhood memories.
I have actually lived in numerous places including New Jersey, Idaho and southern California. Of all those places it is Mammoth Lakes and the smell of the pine trees that holds my heart and title of home. We now have three children and all of us enjoy the life we get to lead in Mammoth. Be it skiing, fishing, gold panning or just relaxing and enjoying the view you can’t go wrong.
Being in real estate, especially in a resort town, affords me the opportunity to meet all walks of life…locals, second homeowners and vacationers. I am lucky enough to have a career doing something I love and being business partners with my closest friend, Jamie Nash. We call ourselves “The Sold Sisters,” Mammoth’s newest team of real estate professionals. Jamie and I met in real estate school back in 2003 down in Ventura, Ca. Coming from such a small town, (Mammoth Lakes) it seemed like a chance encounter. Soon enough we discovered that we have a lot in common from things like our passion for real estate (of course), our kids who are around the same age, our husbands who have similar jobs and lets not forget our obsession with food. We have been great friends ever since. Our goal is for someone to be confident in us and at the same time comfortable. Once a person is comfortable they are better able to determine what it is that they really want.
