The Cadzows have been serving the public as realtors for a number of years. Duane started in 1998, but was called back to his previous profession as computer programmer for the city of Pomona. He again came back to his first love, real estate in 2004, Carla in 2005. Both are retired from their earlier professions and bring a wealth of life experience to the table for their clients. These two have raised five children of their own, plus a number of other kids who dropped in to visiit and stayed--sometimes for years. They spent 26 years in Claremont, raising their brood, and then, upon retirement moved all the way to Upland. Here, they have a new brood--a yorkshire terrier, a silky, a rambunctious miniature pinscher, and finally a large red boxer mix who has a mind of his own. They also have the pleasure of watching their first grandchild--Emily--from time to time.
You will notice from the picture that Duane bears a resemblance to Santa Claus. That's because he is Santa Claus. From October to Christmas, you will be sure to find him. Just follow the trail of children who are so excited to meet the "real" Santa. He never disappoints and many grown ups today have that wonderful warm memory of Santa reading "The Night Before Christmas", just for them.
Carla has participated in various activities over the years. When she wasn't teaching school, she was singing semi-professionally in opera, oratorio and other classical venues. She has also written a Christian romance which was publshed several years ago. She also can whip up a mean batch of Texas Stew whenever you're hungry. Both Carla and Duane have an interest in stained glass and have an extensive workshop which is rarely used today--too much realty to do.
Duane and Carla are tireless workers, staying with a client or a contract until all are satisfied. They go out of their way to make sure the inspections, appraisals, termite reports and all the other little things that can drive a client to distraction, are taken care of in a timely manner. They are also always willing to answer any questios anyone has.
