I have always enjoyed assisting other people. I was employed with the State of West Virginia-Dept of Labor for ten years prior to moving to Paradise(Cape Coral). I worked with the State of Florida - Dept of Labor for twelve years prior to embarking on my Real Estate career.
My family (husband and two children)relocated to Cape Coral, Florida in November 1983 from 'Wild and Wonderful' West Virginia. I resided in Morgantown, population 28,292, recently rated "No 1 Small City in America" by Biz Journals.com for its exceptional quality of life. Within easy traveling distance of Washington, D.C. to the East, Pittsburgh, Pa, to the North, and Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio to the Northwest.
Morgantown is the home of the West Virginia University and the Mountaineers. The male Mountaineer mascots customarily grow a beard during their tenure to go along with the coonskin cap and rifle. A member of the NCAA, WVU sponsors 17 intercollegiate varsity sports at the Division 1 level and competes in The Big East Conference. WVU makes regular post-season bowl appearances in football, including 2007 Gator Bowl champs and won the 2007 National Invitational Tournament (NIT) championship in men's basketball.
Southern West Virginia is home to the New River Gorge National River. Known as the home of "America's Best Whitewater" famous for unparalleled whitewater rafting and outdoor adventure activities.
The Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine provides an underground tour where you can learn about the history of coal mining. West Virginia is home of the East Coast's largest motorized and multi-use trail system giving ATV riders an exciting place to ride.
Although I still love the scenic mountains of West Virginia, I also love Southwest Florida's great year-round weather. Our area also boasts excellent schools, a low crime rate, and a national reputation for incredible growth in employment opportunities, especially for entrepreneurs.
Working with people to reach their goals, selling or purchasing a home, is what I find most rewarding in Real Estate.
