Andrea Merrill

Andrea was born in Long Beach and raised in La Mirada, California. In 1993, after a couple of years at Long Beach State University she decided to take a year off and came to Idaho to experience the winter playground. After an incredible snow year and 100+ ski days at Bogus Basin Ski Resort in Boise, she fell in love with skiing. That was all it took! She permanently moved from the sunny beaches of Orange County to the beautiful Idaho Mountains. The warmth and hospitality of the locals, abundant wildlife, snow, the changing seasons and year round recreation opportunities have ensured that she has never thought of returning to California.
She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, and Masters of Science in Recreation/Business Administration at the University of Idaho and Washington State University in 1999. Soon after graduating Andrea moved to Boise and bought her first home in the historic East End neighborhood and within walking distance to downtown Boise. While living in Boise she has become extremely knowledgeable about the uniqueness of Boise and its rich history.
After the many years of Special Events, Recreational and Ski Resort Management, Andrea took a position with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic & Paralympics Games of 2002. During the year leading up to the Olympics Andrea worked with many world class athletes, international companies and sponsors, international security consultants, and management teams from all over the world. Andrea’s persistence, experience and extensive education made her the choice to manage event services for the Provo Ice Hockey Venue and the Snow Basin Ski Venue. She has cherished her Olympic experience as the most amazing time of her life! Truly spectacular!
Deciding not to continue to the Athens Games, Andrea decided to plant their roots in beautiful Boise. In 2003 Andrea acquired her Realtor’s license and began the exciting new career as a real estate advisor. Dedication, attentiveness, and her keen negotiation skills enabled Andrea to achieve Top Producer status her second year in business. Andrea’s clients describe her as energetic, thoughtful and detailed and have enabled her to retain very loyal clients and friends through multiple transactions. Andrea has carefully assembled a team of real estate professionals that seamlessly and discretely manage her client’s transactions from start to finish, whether it’s a “Green (LEED) Energy Efficient Home”, second home, primary residence, relocation, investment property or 1031 exchange.
