Born in 1955----reared in the country in northeastern North Carolina (all kids should grow up on a farm)----veteran of US Air Force, California National Guard and Kentucky Army National Guard----BS in Accounting from Murray State Universityin 1984----worked with Chip Tullar and the Tullar Family from 1977 to build Patti's Settlement in Grand Rivers into a substantial destination business supporting the tourism industry in the lakes region of Western Kentucky---opened REMAX, DreamWorld Properties in June 2002

Who I AM:
firm believer in several business strategies
1. Always treat people the way you'd want to be treated....if we live by the golden rule, we can't go wrong and the world will be a better place for it.
2. If it is to be, then it's up to me. I'm responsible for everything that happens in my life whether directly or indirectly through the decisions I make and the actions I take. My attitude determines my happiness and success.
3. Japanese philosophy of Kaisen which means to improve constantly, always reaching for a better self and for a better business that supports me and those around me. My daily goal is to be better than I was the day before and to put first things first so that the area that realizes improvement first is the most important area in my life and my business. This also dictates that I analyse the improvement focus upon to make sure the actions I take will effect the most dramatic impact.
4. Responsibility to self and to society are of utmost importance. Only by standing up for the issues that are dear to us can we expect them to play a healthy role in our lives and in our culture.
