I am a long time resident of Jamaica Hills. I have been practicing real estate for 13 years. I am married to Bobby for 21 years and have 4 sons.
I love my real estate career and hope to continue for many more years to come.I am always continuing my education and am confident that my years and experience have taught me much about the real estate business.
Having been in real estate for many years much of my business comes to me through referrels of past clients.
I graduated from Jamaica High School as an honors student with a regents diploma. Rather then going straight to college I worked at many jobs. Since the age of fourteen I had 30 jobs. Yes you heard right. I was always motivated to work hard and make money.
While working in downtown Manhattan I attended Manhattan Community College for 1 semester. Not thinking of the future and what a degree or even the experience of higher education could bring I discontinued my education. They say everything happens for a reason though. My future was to marry Bobby and raise a family.
After many years as a stay at home mom and only one salary coming into the home a friend recommended a real estate career.
My first reaction was not a good one. I really hated anyone that was associated with real estate. My opinion of people in this career was pretty low. Crooks, liars and unethical human beings.
I tell you my opinion has changed for the most part but still there are times when I come across the low lifes of this business.
I must say though that most are honest and are doing the right thing.
Anyway so my birth in real estate began.I started out going out in the evening when my husband would get home to takeover the night shift.
My goal was just to do some rentals. I will never forget the first buyer I brought out. Conrad McCook bought the first home I showed him. I thought wow this is easy. Well it wan't that easy but I soon found that I was doing more and more business and was asked to sell homes. The rest is history.
The first office that I worked with did lots of foreclosed home sales so I learned lots about the foreclosure process. I have sold bank owned properties and have taken many continuing education courses throughout the years. I do not want to brag but I don't think there is anything I do not know about residential sales. I am more interested now in learning about commercial real estate. I try to stay on top of what is going on especially with technology. Reading articles keep me on top of much
I truly love working in this business. Everyday brings a new oppurtunity. You are never in one place. Always moving, meeting new people, seeing new homes. It is exciting.
I am a Director of the Jamaica Central Chapter of Queens. I am very interested in expanding my participation within the Multiple Listing Service(MLS) I want to help bring change to this industry and have consumers trust and see the benefits of the services of a Realtor
