Joan McCauley

Joan McCauley is a native of beautiful Jamestown, Rhode Island. She grew up enjoying the simplicity of island life which at the time, included taking a ferry to high school in Newport!

She attended Rhode Island College and left to relocate to San Diego, CA. There she had a long-term banking career culminating as a Vice President and Manager of the Private Banking Office of a local independent bank. She subsequently pursued a career in real estate which she finds fun and rewarding.

Joan returned to Jamestown, RI in 2003 where she continues her real estate practice and was happy to have familiar territory to work in! Joan is married to John McCauley (who is a rental broker with Island Realty) and is a happy stepmom to two grown children. Joan and John live in Jamestown.

Joan is Treaurer of the Jamestown Community Theatre, is a founding member of The Friends of the Jamestown Fire Department and EMS, serves as a lector and Extraordinary Minister at St. Mark church, and is an American Red Cross volunteer.

A licensed real estate professional since 1982, Joan McCauley began her career in Southern California. With a few exceptions her business has been comprised of residential resale. Professional designations, obtained by meeting educational and production requirements, include two relocation designations, Marketing Specialist and Destination Services Specialist, as well as Fine Home Specialist.

Joan joined Island Realty in 2003 and quickly became a top-producing broker. She is a member of the Newport County Board of Realtors, the Rhode Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
