As a full time Realtor and licensed real estate broker I am fully committed to representing my clients serving their interest. My goal is to produce the kind of results that leads my clients to refer their friends and family to me. That is how I define success, which is building a trusted partner relationship with my clients.

My highly successful real estate practice was built on selling homes in a seven county area in the Northern Virginia. A high percentage of my sales are referrals from past clients who value my services. I love helping my clients succeed, so when you are ready to move forward with a purchase or sale I will be ready to help.

Northern Virginia is has a very resilient housing market, great emploment opportunities, wonderful schools, low taxes, and many other factors that will lead home prices to rebound. The unemployment rate in our area is very low, and a constant influx of new residents is creating demand for housing so over time inventor will come down.

The housing market has cooled and we are now in a buyers market. At the same time these reduced prices will open up home ownership to those locked out by the hot market of the 2002-2004 boom times. Now that prices have corrected building wealth through home ownership is again one of the best long term investment prospects. Interest rates continue at historic low levels. Many homes are selling at pre-boom prices when common sense ruled the real estate market. So there is still a lot of good going on in the real estate market.

Buying a home that meets your immediate housing needs and one that is also a good investment is not as easy as some might believe. Over the last few years there has been a flood of new agents into the real estate market. Barriers to entry are very low, and agent failure rates are high. Getting a licence in Virginia only requires a 70% pass rate on state and local regulations, and required post-licensing education is modest. So picking up the phone and calling a brokers office where the agents perform receptionist duty to get leads is a bit risky. In this market you need to hire a full time agent, with years of experience, with strong understanding of local markets, and someone who has the intellectual capaciy to give you good advice and perspective. You don't need a salesperson to push you to a decision, you need a skilled advisor to help you make a well informed decision..

So selecting an agent is tricky. Everyone wants to save money. But when hiring an agent you really need to know what you are buying. Selling a home is nothing like selling computers where the mantra is “better, faster, cheaper” which relates to rapid improvements in technology driving down prices. The selection of an agent really calls for an agent who is “better skilled” “faster to understand and react to market conditions”, and "focused on the attainment of the best result for their client”.

What you are buying are professional services, and you need to hire a professional who understands the market, helps you navigate it, and keeps your goals in focus. To that end it really is important to work with a real estate agent that understands the market dynamics, and sets about the important work of either helping you sell for the highest net or buy a home that meets your needs at the best price possible.

It is my commitment to represent my buyer/seller clients fully. From start to finish they get my personal services. You deserve to receive quality service from the Realtor you hire, and you deserve personal service.

The real estate industry is undergoing rapid transformation. Buyers and Sellers are demanding new services to enhance their abilities to have access to market information on demand. As an ePro credentialed Realtor I am committed to providing my clients the information that allows them to make decisions in their best interest, on the most current market data available. My buyers find out about new listings as soon as they hit the market. My sellers get updates on their competition and current market trends. You deserve and should demand the best information available.

Should I or one of my agents have the opportunity to serve you we will do our very best to honor your best interest and needs.

Regards,

Alan
