Ellen & Mike have been full-time real estate professionals in the Virginia Piedmont since 2003, and have enjoyed helping our clients buy or sell all types of real estate--from farms to apartments, we put forth 100% effort and dedication to every client.
Mike's former life consisted of 20+ years of dedicated service to our great nation as a United States Marine Corps officer. He is a combat veteran and flew the A-4M Skyhawk and the AV-8B Harrier II "Jump Jet". Stationed mainly at Cherry Point, NC, he enjoyed many vacations--courtesy of Uncle Sam--in places such as Kuwait (Desert Storm), Somalia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Kosovo. When he wasn't overseas, he was at home training and leading Marines, in addition to helping Ellen raise four wonderful children. Mike retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2003.

Mike brings a deep sense of service, integrity, and "mission accomplishment" to every real estate transaction. Once a Marine, Always a Marine, he continues to follow the Corps' motto "Semper Fidelis" (Always Faithful) and brings that same dedication to you, our client.

While Mike was off defending our nation, Ellen kept things running at home--not only raising our children, but as an officer's wife provided continual leadership and support to the many young families left behind by our deploying Marines. During our Pentagon tour, Ellen decided to obtain her real estate license in busy Fairfax County, VA and has had a great career helping folks from all walks of life. Her intuition and passion for people are traits that make her a leader in our field. She was recently awarded the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, and is working toward her Broker License. A natural planner, leader, and compassionate advocate, Ellen is a natural people-person and provides that perfect personal touch of class to our clients.

Mike & Ellen live in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. They enjoy raising their 4 children in the peaceful setting of rural America and are blessed to call it their home.
As a team who priorities are "God, Family, Clients", you can rest easy knowing that your real estate needs will be handled with care and dedication--we take care of each client as a team, so you know one of the Butters Team will be available to help.

Thanks again for visiting us...we hope to be your "Realtors for Life"!
