Honestly, if I won the Lotto tomorrow, I would probably show a few less homes next week. You wouldn’t blame me, right?

"This is my real job.”

So, unless I hit those lucky numbers (which would be tough since I don’t play), I will be here throughout your buying and selling process. See, I do this full-time. This is not some side gig where I box shelves all day and then hope my neighbor’s brother’s friend from the gym calls me to slap a house in the MLS for him.

First as a real estate business associate, then as a licensed agent, and now as a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Washington, I have been involved in real estate for nearly ten years, with hundreds of transaction sides - more importantly, those are satisfied clients - and the collective experiences, good and otherwise, that go with that much activity. If you’re looking to reinvent the wheel, that’s fine for some things… but if your goal is to draw on experiences that will make for a smooth sale or purchase transaction - on what is likely your largest personal asset - then we should talk.

“I’m from here.”

Born and raised right here in this incredible slice of paradise that is Southwest Washington, I have lived on both coasts and in three of the four corners of the country. I have traveled to 16 countries and 42 states. But when it came time to settle down, raise my family, and get on with the rest of my life, I came home. To Southwest Washington.

Now, I have the privilege and pleasure of helping others as they decide where they want to call home. Right here in our community. And, if I do it well, I get paid for it. What a country!

“We both have a life.”

You should know, I don't profess to be one of those "24/7" agents. I believe in quality over quantity. I believe it’s possible to service my clients with the utmost attention and professionalism, and still be home to tuck my kids in at night. I believe that all calls should be returned on a timely basis, but not in the middle of my child’s T-ball game. And I believe that we share a mutual goal to attain a successful transaction on the sale or purchase of your house. It can happen.

I look forward to the opportunity to help you, or a friend, neighbor or relative, with any of your real estate needs, so never hesitate to give me a call. While I may need to call you back if my kid is up to bat, I will call you back. Because this is my real job.

When you have this kind of money, you can afford to be arrogant

In a shot across the bow to the Clark County Board of Commissioners, WalMart has finalized purchase on a piece of property in Salmon Creek where they intend to put yet another "SuperStore". Commissioners, in a welcome spurt of common sense, had recently ...

That Time of Year Again: Open Season on Christmas Trees

In the Canton household, its NEVER too early to start Christmas. And I very specifically DON’T mean the shopping season, that - for me anyway - always starts the day of Christmas Eve. No, I mean the start of the celebration of the Season. The feeling, ...

Podcasting an Update? It's all "Lorem Ipsum" to me.

Welcome to the initial episode of the Clark County Real Estate Update. "The What?" you say... understandably, I might add. This is the first of many (hopefully?) Podcasts, and a part of the larger launch of the Real Estate Update, which will focus ...

CSI: Clark County Real Estate: It's a crime this house didn't sell!

I’ve been doing this a while, not “Index cards and MLS Book” while, but long enough to know that things are different now. Out of the hundreds of transaction sides I’ve been part of in the last ten years or so, I have seen my share ...

Pricing in Today's Market: The $64,000 Question (recently reduced from $67,900)

I admit it, I’m a geek. Not a “got beat up in High School geek”, no those geeks are somewhere making serious coin writing code for some new fangled web 2.0 gig . No, I’m simply a stats geek. The kind of geek who crunches the OBP and ...

Methinks thou doth protest too much...

Look, I am big fan of the glass-half-full, rose-colored-glasses concept. I appreciate the hard work that folks at the NAR (National Association of Realtors) are doing spending my ever increasing dues. I applaud the efforts of the local builders and their association ...

A Month of Sundays...

I should have known it was coming... that question. I set myself up for it, really did. "So, how's that blog thing going?" he said with that "you-can't-have-a-comeback" smirk. He threw me a JJ Putz fastball and I stood there like ...
